What experience do I need before owning a pizza franchise with Cassano’s Pizza King®?

We look for franchise owners who share our commitment to quality, service, and community. While restaurant experience can be beneficial, it’s not specifically required. We seek franchisees with strong business acumen, dedication to operational excellence, and a passion for bringing our unique Dayton-style pizza experience to their communities.

As a Cassano’s Pizza King® franchise owner, you’ll receive up to three weeks of comprehensive training at our headquarters in Dayton, OH, covering all operational aspects, from food preparation to customer service. Our team also offers up to two weeks of on-site support around your grand opening to ensure a smooth launch. Additionally, you’ll gain access to our proprietary Operations Manual and ongoing support resources for daily operations, marketing, management, and more.

The estimated initial investment ranges from $496,500 to $1,843,000 (depending on whether yours is a freestanding or strip center location), which includes a franchise fee of $35,000. This range accounts for startup costs, equipment, training, and other essential expenses. As with any franchise opportunity, having sufficient capital is crucial to cover initial growth stages.

While we do not directly provide financing, we can connect you with third-party financing options to help support your investment needs. These partnerships can provide guidance on available funding options.

Yes, our franchisees pay a royalty fee of 4.5% of net revenues. This fee supports ongoing support, brand development, marketing tools, and continual enhancements to the franchise system. We also charge a technology fee, starting at $25 per week (subject to increase up to $100 per week). Details on fees and requirements are outlined in our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

To help promote your Cassano’s® franchise, you will contribute 2% of net revenues to the brand marketing fund (subject to increase up to 3%). This fund supports national campaigns and branded materials to strengthen the Cassano’s® name and drive local store sales. Franchisees are also expected to invest in local marketing efforts, with 3% of net revenues per month (or $2,200 per month, whichever is greater) going toward marketing within their communities. Franchisees must also spend a minimum of $10,000 on initial launch marketing and promotions, within the first 90 days of their restaurant’s opening date. The initial term of a Cassano’s® franchise agreement is ten years, with an option to renew for an additional ten-year term upon mutual agreement.
